  • Build Your Rule: In the Filter Expression Rule pop-up, craft your rule

    • like "{Policy Number} != null" to allow only valid policy numbers.

  • Test and Save: Compile, test with real data, and if all's well, hit "Save".

Uploading Different Data? Here's How:

  • Change of Plans? If you need to upload something else, just click "Remove Data File" to start fresh.

    • This will reset the request so that you can choose to upload another file or send a 3rd party request.

The Data Upload Journey

Upload a file, Identify the correct sheet and Select the header row

  • Start by clicking the "Upload" button

  • Select the Supplier Group and upload data from file or connection:

  • Drag and drop or choose a file from a directory

  • Pick the correct sheet name and header row in your file. When loading a file you will need to identify the sheet name (tab name) if there are multiple tabs on a sheet.

  • You will also need to identify the header row of your file.

  • Once you have selected the appropriate "data sheet name" and "sheet header row". "Save and Continue" to progress to the "Map data" section.

Map Your Data

  • In the "Map Data" section, adjust the mappings. You can choose "No Mapping", "Default Mapping", or create your own.

  • Select "Default Mapping" and Verodat will attempt to match your file column headings to the target Fields of the Dataset. If the file heading matches the Target Fields your default mapping will map the file column heading ("Source Data Fields") to the target fields (line items on the left-hand side).

Auto-Match

  • If the column headings in your file match the target fields, our tool, Verodat, will do the mapping for you.

*Age is a target field and a column heading on the uploaded file, Verodat has automatically matched and mapped the column heading to the target field

*The target field is named "property location" and the column header is named "Property location". Verodat was not able to automatically map the data.

Manual Tweaks Needed?

  • If auto-matching doesn't work, you can manually drag and drop to map the data.

Save Your Mapping

  • Once done, save your mapping. You can update an existing one or create a new one for future use.

If you will use this mapping on future files you should name the mapping and "Save" it. Any saved mappings will be available for selection in the "Select Mapping" section.

Finishing Up

  • Submit and Confirm: Click "Process File" and confirm your action. You'll see a final confirmation message.

  • Access Your Data: Once done, you can download the committed file or view the latest data output.

Improved Process

  • We've made the upload and mapping dialogues separate for ease.

    • Separating the upload dialogue from the mapping dialogue. The upload of the file operates in the usual way by choosing a file to upload and specifying file details.

  • You can now tag the data with supplier details for a neat audit trail.

    • Included the option for the consumer to specify who supplied the data to assist with the data audit trail. The user can choose to skip this by specifying "No" in the radio button dialogue, thereby indicating that they are both a consumer and a supplier of the data. Alternatively, the user can specify a known "Supplier Group" and a "Supplier Email" to which the data belongs.

      • For example, if I am uploading data to the datastore and I know it came from "Axe Capital" and more specifically "[email protected]" I can enter those details in the boxes provided. By doing this, we are logging the fact that "[email protected]" originally supplied the data even though I (as a consumer) am the one who is uploading it.

        • "[email protected]" will not be invited to the platform or notified in any way when we do this, the upload will be simply tagged with the supplier information. This is useful for audit trail purposes and keeping track of data provenance.

  • No more 'Complete' stage; map your data and commit it straight to the datastore.

    • The "Complete" stage of an upload has been removed. Once data has been successfully mapped, the user will have the option to commit it directly to the datastore.

  • Access everything easily from the datastore card and home shortcuts.

    • The updated upload flow is now accessible from the shortcuts on the datastore card and home.
