Verodat User Management

How you can create and manage your Verodat workspace user

Verodat provides a user management system within your workspace, allowing Account Admin to control and customize access levels for different team members. This feature enables you to assign specific roles to users, granting them permissions tailored to their responsibilities within the workspace.

User Roles:

With Verodat, you can provide limited access to users so they can only perform designated tasks or access certain areas within the workspace.

  1. Account Admin:
    Can manage everything in your account, across all workspaces. Can edit all settings, manage users, and manage billing and subscription details.
    ​

  2. Workspace Admin:
    Can manage all settings and users within one, or multiple workspaces, and edit all datasets in that workspace.
    ​

  3. Dataset Admin:
    As the Dataset Admin, you can manage all settings for a particular dataset and can also manage all uploads and requests for data within the dataset

  4. Dataset User:
    Can manage uploads and requests for data within a particular dataset.
    ​

  5. Supplier Admin:
    The admin for a supplier Group. A supplier group is one or multiple users that are requested to upload data to a particular dataset. Can only see uploads from their own group.
    ​

  6. Supplier User:
    A member of a supplier group. Can upload data in response to a request. Can only see uploads from their own group.


Add a user to your Account:

As an Account admin and Workspace admin, you can add users to your workspace.

To add a user to a workspace as an Account Admin, go to your profile and click on the gear icon to navigate to account settings:

Click on "Users" and "Add user":

As an Account Admin, when adding a user, you'll need to take an additional step to select the appropriate workspace and dataset based on the user's role requirements.


Add a user to your Workspace:

As a workspace admin, to add a user to your workspace, navigate to Workspace settings -> Users -> Add User:

Invite users by adding an email and assigning a role; this will send an email invite to the user, which will expire in the number of days specified:

Once the invite is sent, it will get listed in the invitations. You can view the status for each of them, which can be:

  • Pending: invite sent but yet not accepted

  • Accepted: Invite sent and accepted by user, and will get listed inside Users

  • Resent: you can resend an invite using three dot and Reset invite

  • Rejected: Invite sent but rejected by User


Accept Invite and Register

After the invite is sent, the user will receive an email invitation that appears in their email inbox:

Upon clicking 'Accept', the user will be taken to the Verodat registration page, where the email address will be pre-populated.

Fill in your name and secure password:

Check the box to accept the terms and conditions, and click 'Sign Up' to complete the process.

You've signed up successfully. Please check your registered email for a verification message.

Please verify your email address by checking your email inbox.

Once you select 'Verify Your Account', you'll be redirected to a confirmation screen.

Click 'Back to Verodat' and log in using your credentials.


Update User Role:

As an account admin or workspace admin, you cannot update user personal information once a user gets added to the system.

You can only update a user role by Navigating to Workspace Setting -> Users -> Users:

To edit a user, click on three dots and edit:

You can view the user information, to edit user role navigate to Roles:

You can disable the existing role by clicking on three dots and click Disable role, click on Add Role to assign a new role to the user.

Select the role and click "Add". It will send an email invite to the user and get listed inside invitations:


Remove User:

As an account admin or workspace admin, you can remove a user from workspace. Here is what happens when a user is removed from the workspace.

  • User will be only removed from this workspace. They will continue to exist in the account.

  • Their profile information will be replaced with 'Undefined' inside this workspace.

  • Removed user will no longer be able to access to this workspace.

  • Any messages, data and log data activities they have completed will remain in Verodat.

You can remove a user by clicking on three dots and "Remove":

It will open a popup, type remove and "REMOVE" and click Confirm to remove a user.
