What Are Transformation Rules?
Transformation Rules are all about changing your data. They take your data and transform it into a new format, or a new value, to create a new data point based on configured requirements.
These rules change your data's look
Different from Validation
Remember, Validation Rules decide if your data is correct. Transformation Rules decide how it looks.
Adding Transformation Rules
Open the 'Rules' Window
Navigate to your Dataset, open it, click on "settings", then "Rules"
Create Your Rule
Click '+ Add Transformation Rule' to begin.
Choose the target field and add a description
Build That Rule
Use the rule builder to "Build Expression" and craft your transformation rule
Test your rule
Once you're happy with your rule, "Parse Expression" and then "Test Expression". Remember,
'True' = all good!,
'False' = needs work! (if you need help, reach out)
Save Your Work
Once you're happy with your rule, hit "Save".
Rinse and Repeat
Add as many rules as you need, and then you're ready for transformation rules.
